Welcome 🤙

How’s it going, fellas?

I’m the Yandi Yowie — a bit of a bush philosopher, plant nerd, and dedicated autoflower enthusiast. I’ve been mucking around with these little green wonders for a while now, and I figured it’s about time I made a proper home for my experiments, thoughts, and all the weird stuff I have learned along the way.

Autoflowers are a funny little plant. They don’t wait for seasons, they just do their thing, fast and furious, and they teach you a lot if you’re paying attention. It’s all correlative of one fucking around, and thus finding out. learn, share, repeat.

One project that’s particularly close to my heart is the Siberian Jam IBL, which I’ve been tinkering with since the early 2010’s. It’s the backbone — the “source code,” if you like — of Wallaberry Pie, another soon-to-be IBL that’s shaping up nicely. These lines have taught me patience, observation, and the subtle art of coaxing genetics toward something truly special.

This spot’s for anyone who likes getting their hands dirty, their brain ticking, or just having a yarn about plants that are way smarter than most of us give them credit for. Everything here’s open-source — I’ll share what I know, what I’ve tried, and even what’s gone wrong, because that is indeed, the fruits of my fucking around & finding out.

Expect a mix of:

  • Autoflower breeding shenanigans (Siberian Jam and Wallaberry Pie included….plus some photoperiods.)

  • Tips, tricks, and experiments.

  • Rambling thoughts about plants, life, and the universe.

  • Maybe the odd inappropriate joke/metaphor or two.

So kick off your boots, roll one up or turn on the vape, pour a cold one (or a cuppa…..”different folks, different strokes.”), and have a look around. Let’s grow some knowledge and a few damn fine plants while we’re at it.
